UCLL should be very proud of all of our teams, they all played their best and represented UCLL very well.
9/10, 10/11, 11/12 and Seniors all had some tough competition early on the brackets.
The 11/12 team eventually ended up in 4th place, fighting their way back and losing to a tough Coronado team.
The 10/11 team also faced a tough Scripps Ranch National team early on, losing their second game to them, fought their way back and faced them again in the Championship game. They lost, but our 10/11 team earned a tough fought second place. All of our teams should feel good about their sportsmanship and efforts on the field.
We are proud to announce that our Juniors team won the District 32 Championship!!! They played against a tough Peninsula team, eventually winning 10-9. They now move on to Sectional play – right here at UC. Their first sectional game is this Saturday, July 17, 3:00 at McElroy Field against Patriot League Mission Trails. Let’s support our Juniors team and show the other districts what home team advantage really means.
UC will also be hosting the 10/11 sectional play at Fort Field. Volunteers are needed for both the Juniors and 10/11 sectional tournaments. Sign up on the website if you have some time to help out.
